Hi lovely beans! I’m Julie Mango and I’m a
26 year old witch from the Caribbean twin-island nation of Trinidad
and Tobago. I’ve been studying witchcraft since I was a child, and
practicing on and off for over 7 years. A few years ago, I made the
decision to become more serious and dedicated with my craft, and make
it an important part of my identity. In my current path, I dabble in
a bit of everything, yet I can never seem to let go of my roots and
how I got started. I call myself an “Eclectic Folk Witch”.
I’ve always been the type of person with too many interests, and with my short attention span, I tend to bounce from one thing to another. I’ve tried out titles like “artist”, “writer”, “singer”, and even “Rubik’s Cube speedsolver”, but none of them has managed to stick and feel as natural and at home as “witch”.
I’m a firm believer in constant growth and renewal, finding the balance in life, staying true to oneself, and practicing mindfulness. I’ve always been keen on knowledge and the sharing of information, so this journey of making CoffeeTable Coven’s Magazine, has been an enjoyable task of combining my passions. I hope this endeavour is as helpful and as important to you all as it is for me. I’m new to this world of magazine design, editing, and publishing, so please bear with me as I learn the ropes. Do not hesitate to shoot me an email or slide into my DMs if you have any advice, questions, or suggestions!
Hey babes! My name is Ashley, and I'm a 25
year old Eclectic Nature Witch. I would have to say I've been actively
practicing on and off since high school (which was some time ago) probably
around 8 years in total, but remember that was super on and off in terms
of spell work. Magic has been surrounding me my entire life through my
family and ancestors, even if they didn't call it magic!
I don't necessarily follow a certain path but I focus on any kind of nature magic and this is usually very evident in my craft. I’m most interested in what I can receive from the earth: herbs/flora, crystals and energy. I’ve begun incorporating yoga into my practice and find it’s becoming very important to my craft.
In life and in magic I always strive to see the positive side of things. Understanding our darkness doesn’t mean we have to wallow in it and for me, because of that understanding I love to embrace all the positive warm and fuzzies I can catch. It means that I cannot fully love anyone else until I’ve learned to love myself and I understand that this can be a constant and everyday battle. I want to create a balance with everything I do.
CoffeeTable Coven has become an integral part of my research and community and has prompted me to reach outside my comfort zones. Through it I've surrounded myself with other practitioners and found some amazing people and I hope everyone who stumbles across our little café finds a little bit of that magic too. Please feel free to contact me anywhere you can find me with any questions, comments or suggestions you may have; we're looking forward to working with you!
